A little Friday recap.

Spent the morning cleaning mold off the kitchen cabinets, throwing away our bedding, and trying to figure out how to get the family of frogs and tadpoles from the cistern (still working on that) we have no power or water.

We do have a generator, thanks to Delta for letting us check that on the plane. We can run it a couple of hours a day. We then turn on the refrigerator AND flush the toilet. Fancy fancy right there.

Late afternoon we drove through town. Longboards was passing out

some amazing looking chicken (via the Red Cross), so we took 2 meals and headed to the National Park overlook above Cruz Bay…however, not before stopping at Starfish Marketfor two styrofoam cups and some cheap wine.

Leaving the overlook, we saw Tap room was hopping. We stopped in for some time with friends and enjoyed a beer. Got home at 7:00p (an hour ahead of curfew), I boiled some water on the grill outside to pour on our MRE meal (which was incredibly tasty by the way). Despite the heat we were both asleep by 8:30p.

I won’t say it was the worst day of my life, but I won’t say it was the best.I still absolutely love this island. We’re so happy to be home.
